Kids On the Land is Growing with the Dixon Water Foundation

Kids On the Land is growing with the Dixon Water Foundation. We were privileged to be able to present our program to third and fourth graders on the their Leo Unit in spring. All of the spring rains made this outdoor classroom perfect for teaching “All About Insects” and “Let’s Do the Work of a Naturalist” to the students from St. Mary’s. The Leo Unit is home to the Betty and Clint Josey Pavilion, which is the first Living Building in Texas.

We worked closely with Education Program Coordinator Melissa Bookhout and North Central Texas College to create this program. Kids On the Land will be working with the Dixon Water Foundation again this fall on their Bear Creek Unit.
